Privacy Policy

Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)

In this Privacy Policy, “personal information” refers to personal information as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and includes information about a living individual that can identify a specific person by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, or other descriptions, as well as facial features, fingerprints, voiceprints, health insurance numbers, and other information that can identify a specific individual by itself.

Article 2 (How We Collect Personal Information)

When Users register for the Service, we may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver’s license number.

We may also obtain transaction records and payment information containing personal data from our partners (including information providers, advertisers, and ad distributors; collectively, “Partners”) in relation to transactions between Users and those Partners.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

We collect and use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Service.
  • To respond to inquiries from Users, including identity verification.
  • To send emails about new features, updates, campaigns, and other services offered by the Company that Users are using.
  • To contact Users as needed for maintenance or important notices.
  • To identify Users who violate the Terms or attempt to use the Service for fraudulent or improper purposes and to refuse service accordingly.
  • To allow Users to view, change, delete, and check the usage status of their registration information.
  • To charge Users for paid services.
  • To ship products.
  • For purposes incidental to the above.

Article 4 (Changes to the Purpose of Use)

1. We may change the purpose of using personal information only if it is reasonably deemed to have relevance to the purpose before the change.

2. If the purpose of use is changed, we will notify Users by the method prescribed by the Company or announce the change on our website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

1. We do not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent from Users, except in the cases listed below or when permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations.

  • When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and it is difficult to obtain consent from the individual.
  • When it is especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain consent from the individual.
  • When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or a person entrusted by them in performing work prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual’s consent may impede the execution of such work.
  • When the following items have been notified or announced in advance and the Company has filed a notification with the Personal Information Protection Commission.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

1. When we receive a request from an individual to disclose their personal information, we will promptly disclose it to the individual. However, we may refuse disclosure in whole or in part if any of the following applies, and we will notify the individual without delay if we decide not to disclose the information.

  • If disclosure is likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or a third party.
  • If disclosure is likely to cause significant hindrance to the proper conduct of our business.
  • If disclosure would violate laws or regulations.

2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, we will not disclose non-personal information such as history data or characteristic information in principle.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

1. If a User believes that the personal information we hold is incorrect, the User may request correction, addition, or deletion (collectively, “Correction”) by following the procedure specified by the Company.

2. When we determine that a request in the preceding paragraph is reasonable, we will promptly carry out the requested Correction.

3. If we perform a Correction or decide not to do so, we will notify the User without delay.

Article 8 (Discontinuation of Use of Personal Information)

1. If we are requested by the individual concerned to discontinue the use of or delete personal information (collectively, “Discontinuation”) on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purpose of use or that it was obtained by fraudulent means, we will promptly conduct the necessary investigation.

2. If, based on the results of the investigation, we determine that the request is valid, we will promptly carry out the Discontinuation of the relevant personal information.

3. If we perform a Discontinuation or decide not to do so, we will notify the User without delay.

Article 9 (Use of Cookies)

1. We may use cookies to provide better services to Users. Cookies identify a User’s computer but do not identify the User personally.

2. Users can disable cookies by changing their browser settings. However, doing so may render some parts of the Service unusable.

Article 10 (Changes to this Privacy Policy)

1. Except as otherwise provided by law or in this Policy, we may change the contents of this Policy without notifying Users.

2. Unless we specify otherwise, the revised Privacy Policy will take effect once posted on this website.

Article 12 (SSL/TLS Encryption)

We encrypt personal information in transit using SSL/TLS (Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security) to prevent third parties from intercepting data.

Article 13 (Retention and Deletion of Personal Information)

1. We retain collected personal information only for the period necessary to fulfill the stated purpose of use.

2. If a User stops using the Service, we will delete the personal information within a reasonable period. However, information that must be retained under applicable laws will be kept for the legally required retention period.
